New Schedule, Donations, and eBook


Hi guys, it’s been an annoying two weeks – and I even got sick during my second week and had to go to school sick


– but thank God I’m somehow still alive. Haha. 

Unfortunately though, I found out in my first week that school will be starting right after my modules, so we won’t be coming back to daily releases until my vacation in December. 

New Schedule:

  • The Man Picked up by the Gods: One chapter guaranteed every week.
  • Goblin Kingdom: One chapter guaranteed every week.

Note that these are guaranteed chapters, if I have some time I can try to add a chapter or two more for either series. Which one I do will depend on my mood. I also won’t be setting a fixed day on when I’m posting the chapter, since my schedule is now quite erratic, but nevertheless, you guys will definitely be able to get at least a chapter every week unless mentioned.

Donations and Extra Chapters:

No more extra chapters until my next vacation. The donation is still open though, so if you’d like to support me, feel free to donate. I’ll take note of the donations and just put into the queue for December. Note: this’ll all go to the queue for The Man Picked up by the Gods.

Also, I still owe you guys a chapter from the last queue, and I’m truly sorry that I wasn’t able to give it to you guys on time. As an apology, I’ll give you guys two chapters instead of one. So the next two extra chapters will definitely be The Man Picked up by the Gods. After that, it’s free for all. I can’t guarantee when it’s coming out though, let me settle down a bit first, then I’ll work on it. 

PDF, EPUB, MOBI

I don’t know how many of you know, but this is actually my first time translating. And in fact, I didn’t even know whether or not I could translate with my level of Japanese. This all started with a mechanical keyboard, but who would’ve thought I’d actually end up translating three volumes. Haha.
Along the way I learned a lot of things regarding translations. One of which is the necessity of a glossary. I learned a lot of things the hard way, and because of that I’m often confused when translating terms that come from  the earlier chapters since I didn’t start off with a glossary.

As a result, there’s been quite a bit of problem with consistency. And I plan to fix that in the PDF/EPUB/MOBI release. It’ll have better translation, way more editing, and the character info chapters that weren’t translated in favor of faster releases. I can’t edit the blog posts, since it’ll end up drowning aho-updates with an influx of releases so the better translations will strictly be in the pdf. Don’t worry it’s free.

I’m too busy with school, extracurricular activities, and language classes, so while I’d like to say I’ll have it done by November – the first volume – in the worst case I’ll give it to you guys as a Christmas present. 😀

The Descent of the Summer Modules – Huge Changes in Schedule (BAD NEWS!!!)

I’m going to have two one-week summer class modules starting tomorrow, so there’ll be a huge change in schedule. Unlike the previous summer class, I’ll be studying for one week straight per each class, so it’ll be quite intense.

The Man Picked up by the Gods: One chapter a week; to be posted every Sat/Sun.

Goblin Kingdom: One chapter a week; to be posted every Sat/Sun.

Extra chapters may or may not be posted this coming 2 weeks, but I’ll do my best to bring them to you guys. It’ll depend on my professors’ ‘kindness’ though.

We’re back online!

Hi guys, so the internet guys finally came around, and I now have my net back. I need to fix some things, so don’t expect a chapter tonight. We’ll resume from 22, starting tomorrow.

Internet is DOWN

Sorry for the lack of chapters guys. Especially to those who waited for the Wednesday chapter. Unfortunately, there’s no internet at my house. I won’t be able to post chapters until the internet guys come over to fix it.

 I am currently posting this on my ipad by borrowing my uncle’s wifi. My main computer doesn’t have wifi and I can’t use my ipad to translate the chapters. Again, sorry for the incovenience. I’ll let you guys know when the net comes back.

EDIT: Just to confim, there will be no mass release. I can’t translate anything without the internet, and  I can’t look at my ipad for too long without getting headaches. Translation will resume from chapter 22 when the internet comes back.

Announcement – Vacation, Goblin Fridays, and Schedule Change


Vacation
Hi guys, Jiggly here.

So basically, these past two weeks I’ve been taking exams on the weekends, and have been unable to bring you guys chapters. 

Unfortunately, though, I ‘ll have to take yet another leave on the weekends. But this time, it’s for a family vacation. So, yeah, next chapter will be on Monday, and I’ll post the extra chapters, next week as well. 

By the way, I know I said this before, but really, thanks for all the support for my exams.  ^_^

Goblin Fridays 
I’m sure quite a few of you guys won’t like this, but I’ve really been wanting to get that goblin chapter out. It’s been half-way for a long time already, so I decided to dedicate a day for it. Just one though, Fridays. So, every Friday will be Goblin Friday. 

For those who don’t know, the series I’m talking about is:

So in summary, I will be on vacation on the 18th and the 19th. Next chapter of ‘The Man Picked up by the Gods’ on the 20th. And every Friday starting next week, will be Goblin Friday, and a chapter of Goblin Kingdom will be posted instead.

Whether that good will is love or friendship is still not yet known.
It’s been decided that she will attend the Royal School.

Actually, I have another exam tomorrow. I thought I’d be able to finish up my preparations quicker, but unfortunately it looks like I won’t have time to translate today. 

I’ll try to post a chapter tomorrow Saturday instead after I finish my exams.

Also there won’t be any chapter on Sunday because I have to go somewhere, so the extra chapter will be released next week.

Jigglypuff, Schedules, and Donations


I am Jigglypuff!
Right, I’ll try to keep this short. Basically I’m a really whimsical person and I chose the series I’m translating now randomly, I also chose my name, blog name, and site randomly. Didn’t even know if I could actually translate with my level of Japanese, although, I have read novels in Japanese… but I’ve never translated.

Anyways, I’ve finally decided on a more apt name for myself. I chose my avatar randomly too, but it’s grown on me. And as such from this day on, I shall be referred to as Jigglypuff! Jiggly-sensei! 😀


Translation Schedule
TLDR: 1 Chapter everyday. If it’s one of the longer ones I’m cutting it into parts.
So I’m going to change the schedule again. This time I’m going to do things by parts. A normal Chinese webnovel chapter actually goes for around 2k to 2.5k words in English after translation. Or at the very least CD does.

The Man Picked up by the Gods goes from 2k to 6k+ words in English after translations. This discrepancy is just ridiculous. So I’ve technically been doing double or triple releases on some days. Chapter 22 is an example of almost 6k words at 5.6k words, and no, that’s not the longest one. Just one of the more recent long ones. 

And so I’ve decided to post chapter parts every day from now on instead of full chapters for a total of seven chapter parts. Don’t worry, I’m not just doing this because I like cliff hanging people. It’s because it’s actually annoying to randomly realize that I have to write a 6000 word translations on some days. Anyways each chapter part will have around 2k to 2.5k words. That chapter part may or may not actually be a full chapter. It’s so random so who knows, you might actually get seven chapters in a week or just two long ones and one short. But regardless you’ll get similar number of words.

If there’s any discrepancy in the number of words between chapter parts from now on, that’ll be because I’m looking for a good place to cut the chapter. So one may end up longer or shorter than the others. But you won’t get a situation where one chapter is 2k and another is 500words. That won’t be happening.

Donation and Extra Chapters
So this is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now, I hope you guys don’t get mad. It’s optional anyway. I’ll do an extra chapter part whenever the donation box reaches 50$. And I’ll commit to releasing a total of at least three of these in a week. Anything more than that, depends on me. If I can afford to release more, then I will. I’ll make some site changes to make the queue number viewable.

Schedule for Extra Chapters
In every week from now on there will be 7 regular chapter parts each at 2k to 2.5k words. With extra parts I’ll simply increase that from 7 to 8 to 9… etc. And I’ll be releasing it sometime in that week.
