Jigglypuff's Diary

UPDATE – TMPG, GK, KMF (I came back but the world is still a fantasy)

Hi, all!

I mentioned it would be a slow translation week last week, but it ended up being a no chapter week. Sorry about that, it was a lot busier than expected.

Anyway, translations will resume on Wed, starting with GK, then TMPG, then GK again, and then TMPG for a total of two chapters each.

For KmF I’ll be working on 03-10, and it will be posted once 03-09 is up. I originally hoped to finish 03-10 last week, but that’ll have to be delayed to this week. It’s not a busy week, so there shouldn’t be any further delays. If 03-09 still isn’t up by the end of the week, I’ll post an update on it after checking with my partner.

KMF Translation Update

Just a heads up.

I haven’t gotten any update from the other translator, but I’ll be working on 03-10 as that’s what’s assigned to me, which should be done by next week. If I can’t get in touch with the other translator by next week, I will also work on 03-09, so at the latest, you should get two chapters two weeks from now.

UPDATE 2017-04-14: Got word from Sylvie, the translator from nadenadeshitai. The next chapter will be available – at the latest – two weeks from now. You can expect a double release then, as I’ll be done with 03-10 by then too.

The Hero-Slaying Bandit – Chapter 1: I Need to Understand the Situation

“As the monocle was equipped before it was taken, the ownership rights will be transferred. However, due to the lack of the otherworld attribute, the abilities granted will be limited. Equip?”

…For some reason, the item is talking to me. This must be the reason why that boy was mumbling to himself.

Well, I couldn’t see any reason not to, so I answered, “Equip.”

When I did, the monocle faintly shone. Then as if it melted, it vanished.

“The monocle has been equipped. So it would appear you are a human of this world. The otherworlder hero being defeated sure was unexpected.”

A voice within my mind spoke of things that I couldn’t comprehend.

“I don’t really get it, but could you explain the situation to me?”

It’s definitely an item imbued with magic or something, so in order to understand its abilities, I tried talking to it.

“I am an apostle tasked with the duty of assisting the summoned hero. Or at the very least, I was supposed to support him.”

The voice seemed to be mocking itself.

“Putting it in a roundabout way, what did Mr. Apostle want to do?”

The boy I defeated was clearly strange.
I imagine the reason is probably this item, but the information I have is too little.
So I continued to inquire while trying to put up an apathetic attitude.

“What did Mr. Apostle or something… Actually, no. Forget it, it’s a pain. Rather than that, what did you do to me?”

The existence of apostles isn’t something I know. For the meantime, it seems that the voice is willing to talk, so I lent it my ear.

“As you are an actual citizen, the power granted will be limited. The abilities you received due to equipping me are ‘Appraisal Identification (The ability to see statuses and the likes) and ‘Help’.

These abilities are some of the abilities granted to a hero. They’re originally meant to be given to people who were transferred here, and turned into heroes though.”

In other words, it’s what you would call a ‘Hero Ability’. Which would mean that the person I defeated just now is that existence that I’ve once heard of before. An Otherworlder Hero.

I still have a number of questions, but there’s no reason for me to stay here in this village while it’s being pillaged. I should leave before I get caught up with this mess. To begin with, considering the fact that the battle here has reached this level, yet no reinforcements… or rather, friends, has come to aid the bandits. It should be safe to say that these bandits don’t have an organization.

If I fought them, I’m fairly certain I could kill them all, but I’d rather just make use of the chaos here, and leave. So I left.

So… the voice echoing inside my head is the effect of that ability, Help? I can’t say for sure if that’s really how it is as even I’m only able to vaguely understand it.

I carefully left the village in order to needlessly get caught up with others. After a while, I managed to get out of the village, and rest somewhere convenient.

Having reached a quiet place, I tried addressing that Help or whatever it is.

I find this way of talking strange too. But for some reason, when I equipped that item, the queerness of it all vanished.

“Help or whatever, can you explain the situation to me now?”

Although I didn’t really get it myself, I understood that I could talk with that apostle using this method.

The Hero-Slaying Bandit – Prologue: Until I Killed a Hero

The Hero-Slaying Bandit

Synopsis: The protagonist is an adventurer and a bandit. A rascal of sort.

Varde is the third son of a noble, and is a bastard who was born of an affair with the maid. Still, his family did take care of him until he was five years old, allowing him to live, although with much shame. On his fifth birthday, however, his magic affinity was tested, and his affinity was found to be poor. In the end, he was chased away from his house, sent to his mother’s relatives, and forbidden from associating his name with his noble relatives.

After that, he went out on an adventure with the brother of his mother, his uncle. As his uncle was an adventurer, he was able to learn many techniques to allow him to survive.

Before long, he was able to stand up by himself. And in order to live in this world of injustice, he dirtied his hands.

This is the tale of living in a fantasy world based on the moral values of the protagonist, Varde.

This story is R15 and will have brutal depictions, as well as light sexual descriptions.

TL Note: Not picking this up, but will translate it from time to time unless someone else picks it up.

Author’s note: It’s my first time, so this is sort of an experimental post. I’ll keep posting chapters for as long as I can.

Prologue: Until I Killed a Hero

On a pleasant day with good weather, I stopped by a certain town.

That town was currently under attack.

(These guys sure picked an interesting place to come out)

This world is a world of irrational mayhem and mysterious power. Which goes to say that it’s a world made up of magic. There are monsters, and there are also species other than humans living normally in this world.

I don’t have any intention of fighting for the villagers here though. As for why, well that’s because I’m sort of a bandit myself.

On the outside, I’m an adventurer, so I won’t steal or mug people while I’m in the village. But in places like the highway, the forest, or the labyrinths, well that’s a whole another story. If there’s someone I don’t like, I’m gonna beat him black and blue. If there’s something to plunder, I’ll take it. And if there’re good women, they’re mine.

It should be easy to understand if you just categorize me under a stereotypical evil adventurer.

There’s no reason for someone like that to interfere in the pillaging and massacring that’s currently taking place before me. But if it becomes disadvantageous for me, then things change.

As I watched on with apathy, I heard consecutive screams and roars bellow out.

(Did the villagers start fighting back? It feels a bit late though.)

The sound of the echoing sword was brimming with might. It was not the sort of sound you’d hear from villagers fighting.

(The exchange is a bit odd…)

It doesn’t really suit my character, but my attention was piqued. So I moved my legs, and I headed toward the source of that sound.

I met a seemingly small fry bandit along the way who attacked me, but I dealt with it easily. I continued deep into the village like that, swinging my sword in high spirits as I made my way. Then as I was walking, I spotted a boy dressed in unusual clothing. He fought the bandits with strength that exuded the aura of invincibility.

From a glance, there were times when he was being swung by the blade, but he’s definitely attacking well. However, the way he handled his body reeked of a beginner, and his fighting style was a bit reckless.

I don’t really care much what sort of person this guy is, but he gets on my nerves.

“Ha–ha ha!! It’s useless, bandit-scums. You are all nothing but trash before my power!”

The boy over there was jeering for some reason.
Apparently he fancies himself a hero or something. Normally I’d just let it go saying, “Right, right…” but for some reason I seem to be physically unable to tolerate this guy.

The boy who cut the Mohawk-cut bandit with a lone stroke seemed to be grumbling to himself as he continued to attack the bandits that entered his vision.

The friends of Mr. Mohawk over there continued the fight with the boy. Eventually they managed to bring him to a position that was convenient for me. They seemed to be resisting well, but from the looks of it the boy was fighting while trying something out.

Slowly, I wielded my crossbow, and I aimed it. When a suitable time appeared, I fired it. Without even checking whether it had hit his shoulder or not, I immediately ran toward the boy. As I calculated the amount of time the boy would need to turn around, I swept his legs away, and broke his posture. Then as he fell, I landed a “fatal” wound on him.

“…!!”

The boy groaned out a voice that could not be voiced, and then he collapsed.

There’re plenty of people like this. They have plenty of power, but have little experience.

Just as I was about to pierce the boy again to make sure he’s dead, his body fell apart like sand, and then he vanished.

(Huh? Wasn’t he human?)

Human aside… this is actually my first time seeing a corpse fall apart as if it were sand.
Even monsters would leave behind a corpse. That’s why it’s possible to cut their body up, and bring back some spoils that could be sold for much coin.

While I was having my common sense overturned, I noticed that something resembling a monocle was left behind.

Winner keeps everything.

Following the philosophy of adventurers, I picked up the monocle. And while the bandits were still pillaging the village, I put it on.

“The hero that was undergoing tutorial has died. Confirmed. The bonus power granted has now been materialized. Now confirming the new owner.”

Apparently I… killed the hero?

Three chapter/series will return on May when school takes another break.

That’s all, sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for understanding.

I have a tendency to procastinate the chapters until the last moment so… yeah.

Queue reopened, every time the queue reaches 70$, an extra chapter will be scheduled. This is available for both series.
Chapter will be posted on that week, or next week if the queue was filled late into the week. Chapters will mostly be full chapters this time around.

 That’s all, folks. Happy holidays.

TL Note: Not picking this series up, it’s just the synopsis. I saw this in my documents folder while cleaning up, and I thought I’d post this since it’d be a waste not to. It’s one of the series I was considering picking up.

Don’t know how good it is, but I hear it’s quite good. I dropped it because I wasn’t in the mood to read this kind of story at the time. It’s a bit serious I think, though I’m not all that sure as I dropped it as soon as it showed signs of becoming a bit more serious than I was in the mood for. Now that I think about it, maybe I’ll read it again… (I mean that light novel cover is just so appetizing…) but nah I don’t have time… damn it.

TLDR: I’m just sharing a synopsis I translated, since it’d be a waste not to. No new series or anything.
